Kdrama Kisses

The first teaser trailer is out for the new MBC romantic comedy Lucky Romance starring Ryu Jun Yeol (Reply 1988) and Hwang Jung Eum (She Was Pretty).  We see Ryu Jun Yeol reading on a park bench.  Hwang Jung Eum sneaks up behind him, but he quickly turns around and catches her.  She’s embarrassed, but she is still able to place a talisman on his back to hopefully bring her good luck.

So the trailer was super cute.  Hwang Jung Eum looks adorable as always.  I may still need some warming up for Ryu Jun Yeol though since his character seems quite similar to Reply 1988.  But I’m really looking forward to this drama!

Lucky Romance is based on a webtoon about a quirky, superstitious girl who is obsessed with making sure she is lucky in life.  Then a fortune teller tells her she needs to sleep with a man with the tiger zodiac sign in order to ward off death.  That man ends up being her landlord who is her complete opposite.  He’s uptight, stingy, and scientific.  Of course, the two don’t get along at all, which sets up the already comical scenario.

Lucky Romance is scheduled to premiere in May on MBC.
