Jang Hyuk Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama Beautiful Mind

Jang Hyuk (Master of Trade: Inn 2015) has been offered the leading role in the new KBS drama Beautiful Mind. Beautiful Mind is about a super smart psychopath surgeon with a brain condition that leaves him emotionless. When his patients mysteriously start dying, he begins to investigate and along the way, he learns to love.

I’ve been wondering if this drama will ever secure its lead. Jang Hyuk is the fifth man in line to be offered the role following Kim Soo Hyun, Yoo Ah In, Lee Jong Suk, and Choi Jin Hyuk. Of course, I would love to see Jang Hyuk in another drama, but it will be a pleasant surprise if he takes it considering how many others have already passed on the role. It’s another doctor drama which seems to be popular right now. At least this doctor drama sounds like it will have an interesting mystery running throughout it.

Beautiful Mind is scheduled to premiere in May on KBS.

I don’t know if he’ll take it or if he should, but I am intregued. I think Jang Hyuk is so talented and I feel he would really do a role like this justice. I’m curious to see what happens.

I’m like that too. I’m unsure if I want him to take it or not. But he could be just what’s needed to really bring a role like this to life. If he does take it, I’ll definitely be tuning in 🙂

I hope he takes it. Based on your description of the role I think Jang Hyuk can do it justice.

  I just hope there’s nothing wrong behind the scenes with so many actors passing it up. But maybe just the right person needed the role. And I completely agree, Jang Hyuk could easily add the depth and complexity a character like this needs. If he accepts, I’ll definitely be watching 🙂
