Entourage Korean Drama - Lee Kwang Soo, Seo Kang Joon, Park Jung Min, and Lee Dong Hwi

The tvN remake of the popular American series Entourage has finalized it’s cast with Lee Kwang Soo, Seo Kang Joon, Park Jung Min, and Lee Dong Hwi.  Entourage will show life behind the scenes in the Korean entertainment industry.

Seo Kang Joon (Cheese in the Trap) is set to play a popular star with Park Jung Min (Valid Love) as his manager.  Lee Kwang Soo (It’s Okay That’s Love) will play an actor who is losing popularity, and Lee Dong Hwi (Reply 1988) is a happy guy who has trouble with ladies.

I’ve never seen the original Entourage series, and I have no desire to.  But I really like the sound of this drama as well as the casting.  Obviously, all of the things the original is known for will be extremely toned down for the Korean remake.  Because of that, I would avoid too much comparison and just enjoy the Korean-style story for what it is.  I’m looking forward to more details on the project.

Entourage is scheduled to premiere later this summer on tvN.

This is awesome news for a new Seo Kang joon fan (me!!). Never had an interest in the US version of Entourage though it was always crazy popular. I hope SKJ nails it for all the anti-love he got from his last drama. Have high hopes for this. Also, the Korean entertainment industry will be interesting to learn about.

I’m really excited to see him in this role too! It was disappointing how much hate he received when he did nothing to deserve it. The rest of the cast looks great too, and I especially love Lee Kwang Soo. I’ve always enjoyed dramas that have an element of Korean entertainment like Producers, King of Dramas, and Greatest Love. I’m looking forward to this one 🙂
