Kdrama Kisses

Yea! Hwang Jung Eum (She Was Pretty) has been confirmed to star in the new MBC romantic comedy Lucky Romance.  It was less than a week ago when it was announced she was offered the lead role.  I’m glad we didn’t have to wait long for confirmation since I think this role sounds perfect for her.  Now we just have to anxiously wait to hear who her leading man will be 🙂

Lucky Romance is based on a webtoon about a quirky, superstitious girl who is obsessed with making sure she is lucky in life.  Then a fortune teller tells her she needs to sleep with a man with the tiger zodiac sign in order to ward off death.  That man ends up being her landlord who is her complete opposite.  He’s a stingy, penny-pincher and will do whatever he can to save money.  Of course, the two don’t get along at all, which sets up the already comical scenario.

Lucky Romance is scheduled to premiere in May on MBC.

Update: Ryu Jun Yeol (Reply 1988) has been confirmed as the male lead.
