Park Bo Gum (Reply 1988) has  been confirmed to star in the new KBS saguek Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.  It tells the story of a prince who falls in love with his eunuch who is a girl disguised as a man.  Of course, Park Bo Gum is set to play our prince who becomes regent at the age of 18.

I’m thrilled to hear of this choice for Park Bo Gum’s next project.  I loved the premise of the drama when it was announced a short while back.  I just love all of the shenanigans that come with the classic girl-dresses-as-boy setup.  I was disappointed when Park Bo Gum bowed out of taking a role in the upcoming drama Entertainer, but this is even better since it will actually be the main lead role.

Kim Ji Won (Descendants of the Sun) has also been offered the female lead role of our palace eunuch.  The character is the daughter of a traitor who cross-dresses as a man in order to keep her identity hidden and eventually ends up in the palace as a eunuch.

The drama comes from the writer team of Who Are You? School 2015.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds is looking to air in late summer on KBS.
