Chinese Drama Ice Fantasy Releases Epic First Trailer

Upcoming Chinese drama Ice Fantasy has released quite an epic first trailer. It stars Feng Shao-feng, Victoria Song, Ma Tianyu, and Zhang Meng. I’ll admit I know next to nothing about Chinese dramas as a whole and have only even completed one drama. But I’ve been keeping at eye on this one just because of how awesome it looks and sounds!

Ice Fantasy is an epic fantasy based on the popular novel City of Fantasy. It follows the remnants of the Ice Tribe and Fire tribe many years after a brutal war. The two royal brothers of the Ice Tribe are sent to another realm for 30 years to protect the bloodline. But when the two return to the Ice Tribe, they are eventually separated and pitted against each as another war ramps up.

And this drama looks stunning! The trailer features some truly gorgeous visuals with a high does of epic fantasy. This is definitely on my must watch list, and I am eagerly anticipating its release.

Ice Fantasy is scheduled to premiere in July.

Well, it certainly looks epic. And pretty. 🙂 Hard to tell by the trailer how it’ll really turn out. All of the new cdramas I gave a shot, bored me to tears. I’ve noticed that full on fantasy in cdramas desn’t really grab me (most of then are not very good) but give me something in the semblance of ‘real’ mixed with fantasy and then we might be talking.^^

  Yeah, you can pretty much never tell how a drama will turn out from the trailers. They can be good for giving a vibe and also displaying the cinematography. I really have no frame of reference for cdramas. I lost interest quickly in the few modern cdramas I started and have only completed Wu Xin. But Ice Fantasy really does look gorgeous and seems to have quite a good story behind it. I’m really hoping it’s a solid drama 🙂

  It’s great that you and your granddaughter enjoyed Ice Fantasy so much 🙂 So far the only sequel is a shorter modern day version and it doesn’t have a release date yet. Hopefully, sometime this year.
