Time Between Dog and Wolf Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi

Korean actor Lee Joon Gi has been confirmed to play a part in the last film of the Resident Evil franchise. It will be a supporting role, but no other details have been released.  Being that the Resident Evil series is of the sci-fi action genre, it is safe to assume Lee Joon Gi will likely be utilizing some of his skills in that area.  The main actress of the movie, Milla Jovovich, posted a picture of her and Lee Joon Gi on Instragram, and she comments on his Tae Kwon Do expertise.

I’m not a fan of the Resident Evil series, but I personally think this is great news for Lee Joon Gi.  Although the part will likely be small, it’s a positive thing for a non-American born Korean actor to even be in a Hollywood film.  We all know that no matter what type or size of a part he has, he will give his all for the role.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is about humans trying to survive a zombie apocalypse after the evil Umbrella Corporation releases a virus that turns people into zombies.  It is scheduled to be released in January 2017.

yes, I have no interest at all in Resident Evil franchise. But it’s great for him to land a role in a Hollywood film (even if it would be the stereotypical type)

Yeah, I don’t do horror at all. I’m sure plenty of clips will circulate of his part in the movie, so I’ll just stick with watching those. Yes, the stereotypes are sad, but at this point those types of roles are usually the only ones made available. At least some doors are slowly starting to open, so hopefully, in the next 5-10 years we will see a lot of improvement in the available roles.

I’m sure it will be a small part and like the comment mentions above…stereotypical but I’m still glad he has the opportunity. A part like this is probably exciting and means a lot to him so I’m happy for him! We all know he’ll give it his all no matter what so even if it’s for a momentary portion of the movie I’m proud! 🙂

Completely agree! It is a big deal to even get a small part, and maybe there will be changes in the film industry in the next year few years, and getting his foot in the door now could pay off down the road. I too am very excited for him 🙂
