Oh My Venus Korean Drama - So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah

The new KBS drama Oh My Venus (formally titled Oh My God) starring So Ji Sub (The Master’s Sun) and Shin Min Ah (My Girlfriend is a Gumiho) has finally confirmed a timeslot.  It is scheduled to premiere November 16 following Sassy Go Go.  The drama is a romantic comedy centering around two people who go on a journey to find love and health together.

More details of the plot are also finally coming out.  A bit reminiscent of She Was Pretty, Shin Min Ah’s character, Kang Joo Eun, was once beautiful and popular in the past, but is now unfit and unattractive.  I’m really not sure if it is possible for Shin Min Ah to be those things, but I guess they will make it happen!  Joo Eun is now working to regain her figure with the help of a famous health trainer, Kim Young Ho, played by So Ji Sub.

Our couple will work to heal their past hurts while journeying through weight loss together.  Though they are trying to improve their outward appearance, the drama will focus on falling in love with a person’s inner personality.

Also joining the cast is Yoo In Young (Mask), Jung Kyeo Woon (Birth of a Beauty), Sung Hoon (Noble, My Love), Henry (Persevere, Goo Hae Ra), and Jo Eun Ji (Let’s Eat 2).

Oh My Venus premieres November 16 on KBS.

Shin Min Ah is one of my favorite actresses, so I’m very excited to see her back in a drama. So Ji Sub has just been average for me thus far, but I think I would enjoy him more if he played a role where he was a bit more charming and not so stiff. But he already gets points just for being paired up with her, so I’ll definitely be checking this one out too!

Have you seen Master’s Sun? He is really charming in that 🙂

Yes, I have. It was a nice drama, but a bit…average, lol Maybe I should try I’m Sorry I Love You. I really enjoy that writer, and I like the clips of him I have seen from it, very different from his other stuff.

Of course I already know he has good chemistry with Shin Min Ah, so I’m crossing my fingers that they sweep me away in Oh My Venus 🙂

Well, I loved Master’s Sun. Maybe you didn’t like it as much because of all the hype and so you weren’t satisfied. I watched it live, so it was simply another experience.
