JTBC Drama Awl Releases Several Trailers

Awl Korean DramaSeveral trailers have been released for the new JTBC drama Awl.  The popular webtoon adaptation tells the story of supermarket employees fighting back after a huge layoff.  The employees have a lot of difficulties to face as they try to stand up for themselves.

The cast includes Ji Hyun Woo as a supermarket manager as well as Kim Ga Eun and Ahn Nae Sang as union counselors.  Yesung, Hyun Woo, and Park Shi Hwan will play supermarket employees with Kim Hee Won as the head of the corporation responsible for the workers being laid off.

I love the simple premise of this drama.  It’s a great chance to connect with a group of regular people as they try to better their lives.  Hopefully, the characters are presented in a realistic and relatable way since I’m looking forward to seeing more about their story and their lives.

The show is creating less buzz but can definitely prove to be a dark horse. I’ll keep an eye on this one.

I know. I vaguely remember hearing some casting news about this drama way back and then nothing. I like the premise a lot, but like you, I’ll be keeping watch on how it does.
