June brought me historical romance To My Beloved Thief, the 2009 romantic comedy My Fair Lady, and the heartwarming healing drama 18 Again. Here’s how they went:
To My Beloved Thief

To My Beloved Thief was such a lovely drama! It really had it all with a well-developed romance, friendship, complex family issues, lots of heart, and a helping of action. It engaged me right from the start, and I enjoyed it all the way through.
The drama is well written with a solid main story that ties in many subplots as well as important character journeys. It had great pacing, and I was never bored. The romance was very nice too. It also has such lovely cinematography with so many beautiful scenic shots. It all worked together to create a nice world to spend time in. I had a really good time with this one, and it left we with such a nice feeling. (To My Beloved Thief Review)
My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady was a fun little ride and was definitely a drama of its time. Of course, I really enjoy the vibe of dramas from this period, and that was the case here. The first half is pretty silly, quirky, and at times over the top. The second half gets a bit more serious indefinitely brings some angsty vibes now and then. It’s a structure that tend to like.
It was an enjoyable rom-com that was a little bit different for the time and still has all of those elements that I love. There are definitely a few outdated elements to it, but if you can get past that, it’s a bit of simple, silly, and light-hearted fun. (My Fair Lady Review)
18 Again

18 Again was such a fantastic drama. It’s a very thoughtful and contemplative show that touches upon a lot of issues that married couples and families deal with. It has a good mix of lighthearted fun as well as being more serious when dealing with important topics. It’s filled with heart and a lot of emotion.
I liked that it has a healing vibe with very poignant moments, but it never felt overly sad or depressing. It leaned very much optimistic despite the many issues the characters were facing. And so much content is packed into this drama! I was consistently amazed by how much story it was able to tell each episode.
18 Again was a great watch. It’s got heart, humor, romance, family, and friendships. It’s a lovely character driven story with a lot of warmth that left me feeling very positive. (18 Again Review)
