Jang Hyuk (Family: The Unbreakable Bond) has accepted a lead role in the new Korean drama Munmu. Munmu is a historical set during the Three Kingdoms period and follows the story of how Silla overcame the stronger states during a time of conflict between Silla, Goguryeo, Baekjae and the Tang Dynasty of China.
Jang Hyuk will play the ruthless dictator of Goguryeo. He joins Park Sung Woong (Dong Jae, the Good or the Bastard) as a legendary military general of Silla and Lee Hyun Wook (Shark 2: The Storm) as the man who rises to become king and unify the three kingdoms.
Munmu is looking to air in 2026 on KBS.
