Yoo Seung Ho (Remember: War of the Son) has been offered the lead role in the new KBS comedy drama The Man Living in Our House. The Man Living in Our House is based on a webtoon about a woman whose life becomes a lot more complicated when a man the same age as her turns up claiming to be her late mother’s husband, making him her stepfather. She doesn’t believe him and then sets out on a mission to prove he is lying.
Well, if Yoo Seung Ho signs onto this, sign me up! The role he is up for is that of the stepfather. He was a gangster in his past, but is now a good hearted farmer. Haha, I have a hard time picturing Yoo Seung Ho as a gangster. But Yoo Seung Ho seems to be able to handle just about anything, so him alone being in the drama makes me want to watch it.
The premise of this is really interesting though. It’s a unique setup that should bode well for lots of comedy.
The webtoon writer also penned the webtoons I Steal Peaks at Him Everyday (Flower Boy Next Door) and Ho Goo’s Love. So this writer’s source material has a good track record. The writer for the drama version will be the writer of the Flower Boy Next Door drama. That’s a huge plus in my book! Flower Boy Next Door is one of my favorite dramas, so I’m excited to finally get to see something else from this writer.
The Man Living in Our House is looking to air in the fall on KBS.
UPDATE 8/5/16: Yoo Seung Ho has turned down the role.
