Joo Ji Hoon (The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call) is in talks for a lead role in the new Korean drama The Remarried Empress. The Remarried Empress is based on the web novel of the same name about an empress of the Eastern kingdom who learns that the emperor plans to make his mistress the empress instead, so she divorces him and sets out to become an empress somewhere else.
Joo Ji Hoon would play the emperor of the Easten kingdom. Still considering the starring roles are Lee Jong Suk (Big Mouth) who would play the emperor of the Western kingdom and Shin Min Ah (No Gain, No Love) as the empress.
The Remarried Empress hopes to air later in 2025.
