Kang Tae Oh (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) is in talks to star in the new Korean drama Potato Research Institute. Potato Research Institute is a romantic comedy set in a rural potato research institute. Kang Tae Oh would play a charming outsider.
The drama comes from the writer as well as the PD of Rookie Historian Goo Hye Ryung.
Potato Research Institute is hoping to air in late 2024 or 2025 on tvN.
Recently, I’ve had the impression different industries are getting the naming rights to Kdramas. First, Chicken Nugget, now Potato Research Institute. Is this the next step up from Subway advertising money? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
