Kim Nam Gil (The Fiery Priest) is all set to star in the new Korean drama Island. Island is a fantasy mystery about the daughter of a wealthy family who is exiled to Jeju Island and is targeted by a creature that is trying to destroy humans. She meets a man who needs her to end his immortal life as well as an exorcist priest and they all team up.
Kim Nam Gil will play the immortal man. He will be joined to star by Lee Da Hee (L.U.C.A.: The Beginning) as the woman exiled to Jeju island, Cha Eun Woo (True Beauty) as a hip exorcist priest with a sad past, and Sung Joon (Ms. Perfect) who will go up against Kim Nam Gil.
Island has plans to air in the first half of 2022 on OCN.

These kdrama plots just keep getting more and more convoluted. Sigh. 🙄

I’ve kinda given up on current kdramas as there have been hardly any I’d found even mildly interesting. Not that jdramas or cdramas have been particularly riveting lately either. Well, there’s always List of Doom to turn to. 😄

Yeah, it’s definitely challenging when there’s just nothing really appealing. But like you said, there’s always that never-ending List of Doom, and someday that drama will come along that just grabs you again 🙂
