Oh, Sleeper Hit aka Juhan Shuttai is one of my fave jdramas from recent years. It’s such a happy pill, I loved it! Unfortunately, I dubt the Korean version will be as good. Their remakes of jdramas generally leave quite a bit to be desired for.

Oooh, a happy pill does sound quite appealing. Even if the remake isn’t as good (I haven’t seen the original), hopefully, it will retain some of the charm with a Korean spin. And that can work well for those who haven’t seen the original 🙂

The original is such an uplifting and positive show that I hope Koreans don’t ruin it with shoehorned romance or manufactured angst. The jdrama has neither, it doesn’t need them to be enjoyable.

Haha, well, we know that romance and angst are staples of kdramas, which is one reason I like them 😂

Yup, that’s where our tastes differ rather drastically. I’ve begun actively loath manufactured angst and romance generally doesn’t do much for me. 😀

That they do, hehe 😁 Luckily, there’s so much out there these days and much easier access to all sorts of kdramas, cdramas, jdramas, etc that there’s always plenty to choose from to meet our individual tastes 🙂
