Kim Nam Gil (The Fiery Priest) has been offered a lead role in the new Korean drama Island. He would play a monster hunter who wants to end his immortal life. Seo Ye Ji (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay) is still considering the other lead role of a wealthy woman exiled to Jeju Island.
Island is a fantasy mystery about the daughter of a wealthy family who is exiled to Jeju Island and is targeted by a creature that is trying to destroy humans. She meets a man hunting the creature, and the pair team up.
Island is looking to air on OCN in the first half of 2021.

There it is! haha. I have heard so many good things about Kim Nam Gil and still haven’t actually seen him in a drama, so I would be thrilled to finally see him, particularly if paired with Seo Ye Ji 🙂

I do know Live Up To Your Name is supposed to be quite good, but I don’t usually do medical dramas 😦 Now Queen Seondeok and The Fiery Priest are both on my list though. And this drama seems right up my alley. So hopefully, I will get to him in the near future 🙂

The doctor things might bother you, but it’s an all-in drama that touches every little thing in a drama: romance, comedy, fantasy (and time travel at that) and mystery.

I know it’s supposed to be amazing, and everything does sound appealing to me except the doctor stuff, but I always have major regrets when I watch doctor dramas no matter how good they are, lol 🤣

It is more of a time travel drama, with some doctor stuff mixed in. I would not classify it as a medical drama.

As I’d recall I think there were very very few, like a couple of first scenes of Kim Ah Jong (female lead). Other than that, the medical stuffs lie more on acupunctures, and I enjoyed it very much.
