Shin Sung Rok (Vagabond) has been offered the starring role in the upcoming Korean drama Kairos. Kairos is a fantasy romance thriller about a man who is devastated when his daughter is kidnapped that meets a woman who is living one month in the past. Shin Sung Rok would take on the lead role of the man whose daughter is kidnapped.
After recently stepping down from his lead role in the drama Penthouse citing scheduling conflicts, it looks like Shin Sung Rok is ready to quickly move onto his next project. I’ll be excited to see him in a new drama, and this sounds like a good one.
Kairos is looking to air later in 2020 on MBC.
Yay! You know, when I first saw SSR in Return (I think that was it) I was strangely drawn to him. He was a villain and I thought his acting was superb but thought in “real life” he would be quite a serious man and not fun at all. But…you knew there was a but coming huh? lol After watching him in Master In The House, he is a very fun person, likes to dance, always smiling, and very entertaining. Now, why I had to tell y’all that, I don’t know but am excited to see him in this or any drama for that matter. ( Thinking I should delete this but not going to) Sorry, Kay!

Oh yes, he has such a captivating quality to him even when he’s playing villains. He’s just so good at it! Of course, I have enjoyed him in comedic roles too, so I’ve seen his impeccable timing. I knew he would be a great fit for Master in the House when I heard he would be joining the cast. I’ve watched quite a few clips of him in it, and he’s just so much fun! Whether he takes on a serious or comedic role, I too am excited for whatever drama he chooses next 🙂
