“Secret Forest” Confirms Season 2 With Jo Seung Woo Set to Star

Secret Forest Korean Drama - Jo Seung Woo and Bae Doo Na

The hit 2017 drama Secret Forest (or Stranger) has confirmed a season 2! And it looks like Jo Seung Woo (Life) is set to reprise his starring role. Bae Doo Na (Kingdom) is still in talks to reprise hers. The writer of season 1 will be returning, but a new PD will takeover whose works include Uncontrollably Fond and The Princess’ Man.

Secret Forest was about a cold prosecutor (Jo Seung Woo) who was unable to feel emotions whose hunt for a serial killer led him to his own office that is filled with corruption. He teamed up with a kind police detective (Bae Doo Na) to solve the case.

Secret Forest 2 is planning to air in the first half of 2020 on tvN.

    Yey! But they changed the director and Bae Doo Na hasn’t confirmed yet. Sooo…. we’ll see. I loved S1 though.

      I remember this was one you liked a lot 🙂 It didn’t work out for me, but it’s good to see a hit drama coming back. But yes, changing the director can definitely impact the drama in many ways. Hopefully, Bae Doo Na confirms though. It’s disappointing when you lose some of the leads in the second season.

    I liked the first season, but I don’t think it needs a second one. The story was completed.

      Yeah, most second seasons aren’t as good as the first. I didn’t make it through this one, but hopefully, the second season is able to do well and capture some of what made the first good.
