Jung Eun Chae (Return) has now joined the cast of the Korean drama The King: The Eternal Monarch. She joins Lee Min Ho (Legend of the Blue Sea), Kim Go Eun (Goblin: The Lonely and Great God), and Woo Do Hwan (Great Seducer). She will play the prime minister who is at odds with Lee Min Ho’s character. So our main cast looks to be in place for this epic tale!

The King: The Eternal Monarch is about parallel worlds with one being the Empire of Korea and the other the Republic of Korea. The emperor (Lee Min Ho) of the Korean Empire teams up with a detective (Kim Go Eun) from the Republic of Korea to try and close the door between the worlds. It comes from writer Kim Eun Sook who penned Mr. Sunshine, Goblin: The Great and Lonely God, and Descendants of the Sun.

The King: The Eternal Monarch is planning to air in the first half of 2020.
