Jang Dong Yoon (Just Dance) has now confirmed he will be joining Kim So Hyun (Radio Romance) to star in the new Korean historical drama Mung Bean Chronicles (or Mung Bean Pancake). He will play a man pretending to be a woman who is looking to avoid marriage, and Kim So Hyun will be a gisaeng in training. I’m glad we have our main leads secured, and this drama sounds like it will be a lot of fun!
Mung Bean Chronicles is about a man (Jang Dong Yoon) who disguises himself as a woman to live among a community of women so that he won’t have to get married and a hot-tempered woman (Kim So Hyun) who doesn’t want to be gisaeng. The drama comes from the writer of Moonlight Drawn By Clouds and the PD of Fight for My Way.
Mung Bean Chronicles is planning to air later in 2019 on KBS.
