Melt Me Korean Drama - Ji Chang Wook

Yay! Ji Chang Wook (Suspicious Partner) has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Korean drama Melt Me. He will play a variety show PD who gets frozen and wakes up 20 years later. I’m pretty excited since this will be his first project since recently being discharged from the military. It will be great to see him again. And I’m really curious as to who we will get as his leading lady. Hopefully, we hear soon!

Melt Me is a romantic comedy about a man (Ji Chang Wook) and woman who were involved in a project where they were supposed to be frozen for 24 hours, but they instead wake up 20 years later. It comes from the writer of Woman of Dignity and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and the PD of Where Stars Land.

Melt Me is planning to air later in 2019 on tvN.

I’m excited for him to be back, but the plot seems weird.

I’m also super excited for Ji Chang Wook to be back! It is an odd plot for sure. This writer seems to like keeping things strange though, hehe

Yay!! I love Ji Chang Wook. I am so glad he’s back and will be in a drama soon. I am also glad that he picked this drama and not the other astronaut one. The plot for this one really reminds me of Brendan Fraser’s movie Blast from the Past. If it’s like that movie and done well, it should be really good and Ji Chang Wook would be perfect for it. I don’t know if the young ones remember this movie but as soon as I read the plot, this was the movie I remembered.

I’m so happy he’s back too! I was really torn between which drama I wanted him to be in since I could see him in both roles, and I’m looking forward to both dramas. Mostly I’m just glad he picked one of them though, lol.

I can see why it would remind of you Blast from the Past (loved that movie!) Although Brendan Fraser didn’t time travel, it was like he did since he was so isolated. And basically Ji Chang Wook will time travel since he will actually remain the same age. And I sure am a sucker for time travel! I really hope this one takes advantage of all the comedic potential and that we get a great leading lady for him 🙂

Yes that’s right. We need a great leading lady. Can’t wait to see who that is. Is it wishful thinking if I say Park Min Young? 😉

How I would love to see a Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young reunion! I think almost everyone would. Too bad she’s busy 🙁

I’ve certainly been running all the options through my head trying to figure out who is available right now and fantasy casting. Of course, they will probably pull something out of left field and completely surprise me with the actress they choose. That happens a lot 😛
