I wondered what had happened to this drama and thought it might have been shelved since it’s been a couple years since we’ve heard anything about it. But it looks like the Korean drama City of Stars is on track and has secured its leading man in the form of Byun Yo Han (Mr. Sunshine).
City of Stars has a focus on aerospace and tells the story of people who dream of going to space. Byun Yo Han will play an aircraft mechanic who wants to overcome his claustrophobia so he can become an astronaut.
The drama will be directed by Jang Jin and is set to air across multiple countries. This is a unique concept, and I’m pretty excited to check this one out!
City of Stars is looking to air in the second half of 2019.
UPDATE 3/25/19: Byun Yo Han has stepped down from City of Stars.
