Memories of the Alhambra Korean Drama - Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye

It was finale time for Memories of the Alhambra starring Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. It went out on a good note landing just shy of what it did last week in Nielsen drama ratings. It brought in 9.0% for episode 15 and then saw an increase to 9.9% for episode 16. Congratulations to the cast and crew for having a successful drama!

Memories of the Alhambra deals with augmented reality computer games that alter what a person experiences around them. A CEO (Hyun Bin) travels to Spain and stays at the hostel of a woman (Park Shin Hye), and the two get caught up in a strange incident.

I didn’t know this ended until you posted about it. So many things to catch up on.

Haha, yep, you need to get caught up on this one 🙂 It was a wild ride!

I actually saw that you posted a review about it. Butttt I haven’t checked it yet. After I’m done catching up… which is hopefully soon. Ive been swamped. Life hahaha

Yes, give it a look if you get a chance since it will give you a heads up about some things to keep in mind with a drama like Memories. Enjoyment of it is definitely dependent on a few things 🙂

Ive read that EXO Chanyeol is Park Shin Hye’s younger brother in the drama. How was he?

          2. Kay Avatar

He is! I thought he was great 🙂 I thought he would be in more of the drama, so I was a little disappointed about that. He still has a nice supporting role though, and he’s important to the story. I thought his acting was great too as he really got into the role 🙂

Ooohhh. I’m so glad to hear really good feedback. I try not to be biased about idols. And I do try to generalise as a whole. 😊

I try not to generalize either 🙂 I find that some idols are good actors and others are a little iffy, just like other actors. Some are a little more green since they are able to get roles a bit quicker sometimes, but green doesn’t necessarily mean bad. And I already liked Chanyeol in Missing 9 and then thought he really stepped up for this role. So improvement is always good no matter who you are 🙂

I’ve never seen Missing 9, I sort of got intimated by the plot. You know I’m a fan of serial killers drama but somehow being stranded in an island and fighting for your life sounds scarier than serial killers.

But it’s really good to hear that he has improved. Yes there are some actors who are just iffy. And some how they just fade into the background in the long run.

There is one idol who pursued acting and I absolutely cannot stand her acting. I mean she’s really great on stage. She is very charismatic, she sings well and she has a great figure but for some reason she didn’t do well on screen. I won’t say her name coz people might think I’m bashing their idol which I’m not. She’s a talented idol but a not so great actress.

Haha, yeah, I could see how that could be scary. Plus, aside from being stranded on the island, there does happen to be a killer on the loose too…so yeah, a bit of a scary combo, hehe. It’s not really a scary drama though, but it has its creepy moments.

About to start the drama and I can tell that it’s good according to the reviews I am reading.

There’s definitely a lot to like 🙂 Hope you enjoy it!
