With 2019 officially here, I thought it would be a good time to give you all an update on Kdrama Kisses. 2018 was a great year for the site. A lot of fantastic dramas were covered, and there was a lot of wonderful engagement with all of you.
I’m always trying to find ways to make your drama watching experience easier, so after multiple requests, a Where to Watch page was added to the site at the end of the year. It lists currently airing and upcoming kdramas from the big streaming services like Viki, Kocowa, and Netflix. You can find it in the menu at the top of the page. Hopefully, it’s helpful for you to keep track of where you can watch your dramas 🙂
Kdrama Kisses has also grown substantially. The drama guides, news, and articles have now been viewed a whopping 6 million times! That’s just insane! I never imagined the site would grow this big, and that’s really all thanks to you for coming to read the content, commenting, and sharing. You’re amazing! I always enjoy chatting dramas with you all and have made some wonderful friends.
Of course, when a website grows, it takes more time, work, and money to maintain. So a Patreon page was launched at the end of 2018 to ask for your support. I’ve kept it pretty low key as I’m grateful for everyone just showing up and enjoying the content.
Any support I receive would be such a help for me though to be able to continue bringing you quality content to enhance your drama watching. After having to recently face job loss, Kdrama Kisses has become even more important to me both personally and financially.
So if anyone has found the site particularly useful or enjoyable and would like to support Kdrama Kisses, you can do so for as little as $1 a month. There are even a few perks for those who do support as a thank you such as a copy of my new review book, having your name listed on the Kdrama Kisses supporters page, and access to additional content.
Just click the button above if you are interested. It would be a blessing if you can help, but if not, no worries. I love you all and am thankful for all you’ve done to make this site what it is!
And a huge thanks to those amazing people who are already supporting! Every little bit really helps, and I’m so grateful for your contributions.
Another request I’ve received frequently is to have my drama reviews available in ebook form so that you can read reviews offline and have them in one place. So I’ve been working hard on that and have the first two books ready with my reviews of dramas that aired in 2018 and 2017 in text form (no images).
The 2018 book includes 35 reviews from that year while the 2017 book includes a hefty 44 reviews from that year. You can purchase the books “2018 Korean Drama Reviews” and “2017 Korean Drama Reviews” over on Amazon by clicking on the titles or on the book images above for just $2.99 each.
I hope to add more collections from previous years too. This is also a great way to support the blog with a one time purchase if you can’t do so monthly over on Patreon (please note that the 2018 book is offered as a perk over there for becoming a supporter).
So with all of the year end festivities behind us and a new year ahead, I’m so excited to continue this journey with all of you. I can’t wait to chat about our favorite dramas, the disappointing ones, and the dramas that just do crazy things! Thank you all again for sharing your time and thoughts with me and for making Kdrama Kisses a success. You really are the best!
Love, Kay
