My Country Korean Drama - Yang Se Jong and Woo Do Hwan

The drought is over! It seems like it’s raining historicals these days! Yang Se Jong (Thirty But Seventeen) and Woo Do Hwan (Great Seducer) have been offered starring roles in the new JTBC historical drama My Country. My Country follows the story of two friends where one wants to pass the military service exam, but corruption by his father affects that as well as his friendship with the other man.

The role Woo Do Hwan has been offered is the man looking to take the military service exam with Yang Se Jong possibly as his friend. The drama comes from the writer of Master: God of Noodles and the PD of Just Between Lovers. Of course, being a historical, I’m already on board, but adding these two guys to the cast would be fantastic!

My Country is planning to air in summer 2019 on JTBC.

Annnnddd… of course there will be some damsel in distress for the boys to “fight” over too. I’m still waiting for Dramaland to surprise me with a damsel for each lead in a sageuk. 😉

Well that’s a must have staple of historicals 😉 lol. You never know, one of these days it just might happen though 🙂
