November Brings New Korean Dramas to Viki

We have a few new dramas that have made their way to Viki! A couple premiered towards the end of October while several others did at the beginning of November. Romance, time travel, and modern day monarchies are what we have to look forward to, so let’s check them out:

What could a top actress and a dermatologist have in common? Not much when the top actress is Yoon Yoo Jung and the dermatologist is Cha Woo Hyun. Yoo Jung has enjoyed great career success but bad relationship failures. But she’s still optimistic that the right man will come along. Woo Hyun is a sought-after doctor but is pessimistic and can’t be bothered with female entanglements. When Yoo Jung and Woo Hyun accidentally get involved in a scandal in the media, it’ll take all the finesse that Han Jae Kyung, the president of Yoo Jung’s agency, can muster. What kind of an agreement will be brokered between Yoo Jung and Woo to weather the storm?

It’s set in a hypothetical constitutional monarchy in 2018, and follows the story of a musical actress Min Yoo Ra who marries the emperor. She searches for true love and happiness as she fights her way through palace life, and gets entangled with the murder of the emperor’s grandmother, leading to the demise of the imperial family.

When Time Stopped Korean Drama - Kim Hyun Joong and Ahn Ji Hyun

Stars: Kim Hyun Joong and Ahn Ji Hyun
A man with a special power meets a woman who is unaffected by it. Moon Joon Woo has the ability to stop time. He leads a lonely existence due to his special ability. When he needs a place to live, Joon Woo rents a basement apartment in an old building. His new landlord is Kim Sun Ah,who despite being hardworking and a building owner is still financially struggling because all of her money is going to pay off her father’s debt. Joon Woo is surprised to discover that when he stops time, Sun Ah is unaffected by it and is able to freely move around and “live.” Will Sun Ah give Joon Woo a new appreciation of time and his fluid life?

Feel Good to Die

Feel Good to Die Korean Drama - Kang Ji Hwan and Baek Jin Hee

Roo Da’s been living an ordinary life, trying her best not to stand out because she knew nothing good ever comes out of it. One day, she faces the biggest obstacle of her lifetime and is forced to save everyone from reliving the same day over and over again. However, in order to do so, she must reform her horrible boss, Jin Sang, into a decent human being. While doing so, she saves her coworkers from danger, fights against corruption, and becomes a hero she never intended to be. For everyone’s sake, she must break the endless cycle of time loop and make tomorrow come.

    Well….there are two shows that I will be checking out. Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter (after the last trailer, I do have to say that despite Moon Chae-won, I don’t quite know if this is a series that is necessarily for me). The other one is The Last Empress, simply because the premise is very intriguing to me. We’ll find out if these are both worth the watch 😊

      Both of those would definitely be my picks from these new offerings. Mama Fairy looks whimsical and fun while The Last Empress looks all kinds of crazy and exciting. Hopefully, we both find some good ones 🙂
