Jang Seung Jo Joins the Cast of Korean Drama “Boyfriend” Alongside Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo

Boyfriend Korean Drama - Jang Seung Jo

Jang Seung Jo (Familiar Wife ) has joined the cast of the upcoming tvN drama Boyfriend starring Park Bo Gum (Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) and Song Hye Kyo (Descendants of the Sun). He will play a chaebol heir who is Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband.

Jang Seung Jo is an actor I was just introduced to earlier this year in Money Flower where he really impressed me. Then I enjoyed him a lot in his most recent drama Familiar Wife. So I’m excited to get to see him in a third drama this year.

Boyfriend is an opposites story that follows the complicated romance between a free-spirited ordinary man (Park Bo Gum) who seems to have nothing and the daughter (Song Hye Kyo) of a politician who seems to have everything.

Boyfriend is scheduled to premiere November 28 on tvN.

This could be an interesting and heartwarming tale. Don’t know if this will head into comedy territory, but it’s a story that if done well, could have some potential for being a pretty beautiful K-drama. Fingers crossed it will be good 😊
