Yes! It’s happening! Yeo Jin Goo (Reunited Worlds) and Lee Se Young (Hwayugi) have confirmed they will star in the drama remake of the hit movie Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King (or The Queen’s Man). Yeo Jin Goo will take on dual roles as a king and as a poor clown while Lee Se Young will play the queen.

I was so hoping that Yeo Jin Goo would sign on since I was anxious to see him do another historical. And we even get twice as much goodness with him playing two roles! Plus, I’m excited to see Lee Se Young in a lead role like this as I know she will deliver. This will probably be my most anticipated drama coming up in the new year.

Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King follows the story of a king (Yeo Jin Goo) who fears for his life so he brings in a kind look-a-like clown to stand in for him. A love triangle will also ensue between the two and the queen (Lee Se Young). It comes from the PD of Money Flower.

Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King is looking to air in early 2019 on tvN.
