Lee Yo Won Takes Lead Role in Korean Drama “Lee Mong”

Lee Mong Korean Drama - Lee Yo Won

Lee Yo Won (Buamdong Revenge Social Club) has now accepted the lead role in the upcoming MBC period drama Lee Mong (also called Different Dreams). Lee Mong is a spy melodrama set during the Japanese occupation and tells the story of a surgeon who becomes a spy for the Korean government during the Pacific War.

Lee Yo Won will play the surgeon. Lee Young Ae had originally been attached to this project, but she recently had to pull out citing scheduling issues. Lee Yo Won joins Yoo Ji Tae (Mad Dog) who will also star as the leader of a group of spies.

Well, I’m all in for a period spy drama. I love the time period and am really hoping we get an exciting and well made story, especially considering it is supposed to be quite a big budget production.

Lee Mong is looking to air in 2019 on MBC.

While I don’t really like the spy genre, I have to say that this one really sounds very interesting, especially because of the time period 😊😊 The story itself is one that I really think is pretty promising as well. Can’t wait to see how this one will turn out 😀😀

Yeah, I think we both have similar feelings towards the spy dramas. But there are a couple coming up that have really piqued my interest because of their suspense elements and this one with its period setting. It’s one of my favorite time periods so I will definitely be checking it out 🙂
