Mr. Sunshine Korean Drama - Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri

We’ve reached the halfway point for Mr. Sunshine starring Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri, and it continues to bring in great numbers in Nielsen drama ratings. This week it brought in 12.8% for episode 11 on Saturday and rose to 13.4% for episode 12 on Sunday. So let’s see how it does in the second half of its run!

Mr. Sunshine is set during the early 1900’s and is about the romance of a soldier (Lee Byung Hun) of the righteous army and an aristocrat’s daughter (Kim Tae Ri). It follows the story of the soldier who got on a U.S. military expedition as a child and grew up in America. As an adult, he then returns to Korea as a soldier during the final years of the Joseon era. It comes from writer Kim Eun Sook of hits such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun.

Mr. Sunshine airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.

I’ve decided to just quit following this one until it’s totally finished. With things being busy this month anyway, I just have too hard of a time to keep up. But…now I can totally bingewatch this in september 😊😊

I have started watching this – up to episode 4 now and I’m liking it so far. I wasn’t a big fan of both Goblin and DoTS though there are lots of things I enjoyed about them both. So I wasn’t expecting to like this one but so far so good. 😀

That makes me excited! I can’t wait to jump into this one. I need saving from my historical drought, lol. I greatly enjoyed Goblin and DOTS so I’ve been very curious to see how the writer does with a historical. I’m also very intrigued with the time period since it’s not usually shown in dramas. I really hope you keep enjoying it!
