I NEED this to happen! Yeo Jin Goo (Reunited Worlds) has been offered the starring role in the drama remake of the hit movie Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King (also known as Masquerade). The movie followed the story of a king who feared for his life so he brought in a kind look-a-like clown to stand in for him. A love triangle will also ensue between the two and the Queen. It comes from the PD of Money Flower.
I mean, I’m pretty much in for anything Yeo Jin Goo does, but I’ve been anxious to see him step back into another historical (plus yay for another historical in the drama lineup!). I would be thrilled to see him in dual roles since I know just how well he would pull off each character.
He is currently set to star in the upcoming drama Absolute Boyfriend, but I really hope he is able to make time for this drama since I think it has so much potential, especially with him leading it.
Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King is looking to air in early 2019 on tvN.

Is it just me? Or are we getting a lot of historicals again that are heading our way? Which is awesome news for me, as besides one episode of mr Sunshine, I still haven’t really watched a historical drama. The premise for this one sounds amazing! Of course this one goes on the list 😊😊

Well, after the historical drought we’ve had all year, hearing about a few new ones definitely feels good. We’ve got one more coming up this year and then this and Asadal on the lineup for early 2019. I’m more than excited that we will be having a steady stream of them. And yes, this one does indeed sound amazing! I’ll be checking it out no matter who they cast, but Yeo Jin Goo is an amazingly talented actor so I really hope he takes this. Let the list grow!!

I always trust your judgement. I don’t think I have seen this actor yet, at least not that I know of. So looking forward to this one 😊😊

Yeah, I can’t recall you mentioning a drama he has been in. But I’m sure you’ll enjoy his performance whenever you do get to see him 🙂

Sageuk and Yeo Jin Gu? I’m in. I feel I have not seen a good sageuk for so long now.

Yep, now that’s a winning combo 🙂 Aww, you definitely need to find you a good saguek to watch in the meantime. Maybe look for some older ones you may have missed to fill the void 🙂

How can I say no to Yeo Jin Goo in a historical. I can’t. It’s impossible. Hope he accepts, I’ve really been missing him in the sageuk realm as well!

Yep, it’s impossible to say no to Yeo Jin Goo in a historical! And I know what you mean. After he’s done a string of modern dramas, I’m anxious to see him step back into a historical too 🙂
