Kim Nam Gil Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama “Hot Blood Priest”

Hot Blood Priest Korean Drama - Kim Nam Gil

An offer is out to Kim Nam Gil (Live Up to Your Name) to star in the new SBS drama Hot Blood Priest. Hot Blood Priest is about a priest with anger control issues who teams up with a detective to solve crimes.

They sure do just keep those crime dramas coming, lol. Just add in a person in whatever miscellaneous job and put them with a detective, and they are good to go!

Hot Blood Priest is looking to air later this year on SBS.

There seems to be a serious lack of fresh ideas in Kdramaland. Or they are just plain lazy. It’s SO much easier to recycle old plots with minor adjustments. 😄

This year has been something else. I know people say there is a lack of of fresh ideas every year, but this year takes the cake. Every other drama that comes out is “this duo teams up to solve crimes” or “doctors”, lol. I’m with you, I think it’s just easier for them to do that 😛

Thank goodness I’m late to the kdrama party so I have lots of good completed dramas to keep me occupied while they get through this trend of legal and medical ones. Hopefully by the time I run out, they’ll start to make things I want to see! 🙂

Definitely a plus! I always watch some old dramas in addition to the new ones, but it’s looking like I’m going to start needing supplement with them more and more. Like you said, at least we have plenty of old dramas to tide us over until this drawn out legal/medical trend hopefully dies out, lol 🙂

agreed on the recycled themes but anything with Kim Nam Gil is tempting.

Amazingly, I still haven’t seen him in a drama yet! He hasn’t done a lot of dramas in recent years, so I’ve just never came across one with him in it. People always praise him, so I hope to see him someday.
