Go Ara in Talks to Star in Korean Historical Drama “Haechi”

Haechi Korean Drama - Go Ara

Go Ara (Miss Hammurabi) is currently starring in a drama, but it looks like the drama offers are still coming her way. She has been offered a lead role in the new SBS drama Haechi. Haechi is a historical drama that follows the story of a group investigators that includes a lowly servant, a man always studying for the state exams, and a Prince born in the body of a water maid. Well, that last character kind of stands out! Go Ara would play the lowly servant who is skilled at investigation.

On one hand, historical dramas have been so few and far between that I instantly perk up when a new one is announced. This included. But it does sound like a crime/investigation drama disguised as a historical. That I don’t love. But then there’s maybe a supernatural element which does interest me. So yeah, odds are no matter how the casting and all shapes up, I will at least give this one a look. Gotta fill that historical void somehow!

Haechi is looking to air in September on SBS.

I loved Go Ara in Black. She really impressed me in that series. For that reason alone I would watch this one. But admittedly the story hasn’t really gotten me sold yet. Guess we will have to wait for a trailer to pass our first judgement on this one 🙂

  2. You are right about Sageuks being few and far between this season. I will take what I can get with the hope that it will be a worthwhile experience.
