About Time Korean Drama - Lee Sang Yoon and Lee Sung Kyung

Another new trailer is out for the upcoming tvN drama About Time starring Lee Sang Yoon (Whisper) and Lee Sung Kyung (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo). This one features a dramatic rescue as Lee Sang Yoon pulls Lee Sung Kyung out of the way of a runaway bicycle and flower petals rain down from the sky. Now that’s how you save a girl!

About Time is a fantasy romance about a musical actress (Lee Sung Kyung) with the ability to see how long a person will live and the man (Lee Sang Yoon) she falls in love with who somehow makes her own “life clock” stop moving forward. The drama comes from a new writer and PD of Twenty Again.

About Time is scheduled to premiere May 21 on tvN.

Interesting. I hope I will love her here as much as I loved Kim Bok Joo.
I also just finished watching Angel Eyes (starring Lee Sang Yoon) yesterday. So another familiar face LOL. You haven’t seen it? It’s a decent 7 to 8 melodrama with Ku Hye Sun. 🙂

I think this looks like a good role for her. Sweet but a little bit quirky which should be fun 🙂

I actually haven’t seen Angel Eyes. It’s one of the top dramas on my older watch list though. I’ve been anxious to see it since it’s a popular melo and sounds like one I would really like 🙂

Oh, it’s a popular melo? Haven’t really heard about it before since I only read your reviews. I don’t go to other review sites LOL. Funny thing is I finally decided to watch your Top 2: I Miss You. But while watching the trailer on Youtube, I somehow ended up on the Angel Eyes trailer. And just like that, I decided to watch it instead. HAHA.

I also found out that I actually like melodramas. I just need to have a lot of time so I can finish it ASAP. My usual 2-episodes-every-night viewing style won’t work on a melo since I will get bored. I need to be emotionally invested on a melo. Since I had a lot of time during the weekend, I was able to appreciate this drama. Lost a lot of sleep. 🙂

Aww, I’m so honored that you give special attention to my reviews! Seriously, thank you 🙂 Yes, it’s one of those well known ones that’s likely to be found on a lot of favorite melo lists. I’ve had it on my watch list for years, it’s just one of those that kept getting passed up for no particular reason, lol. And I’ve definitely ended up watching stuff randomly like you too!

I really love melos, but the key for me is that I have to be invested in the characters. I need that for any genre, but very much so with melos. A lot of times I really like when they do a few eps with a kid cast first because it gets me really sympathetic towards them. Then I love angst, so melos are just fantastic for that. Like you, I also usually watch 2 eps per night and then a bit more on the weekends. Works pretty well most of the time 🙂
