Kang So Ra Steps Down from Korean Drama “Gyeryong Fairy Tale”

Tale of Gyeryong Fairy - Kang So Ra

It looks like Kang So Ra (Revolutionary Love) has stepped down from her role in the new tvN drama Gyeryong Fairy Tale. She was set to play a fairy looking for the reincarnation of her husband alongside Yoon Hyun Min as a professor who visits the mountain cafe that she works at. But scheduling conflicts have ultimately led her to withdraw from the drama.

The news is definitely disappointing as I think she would have been wonderful in this role and been very cute with Yoon Hyun Min. I really hope they are able to find an equally good replacement for her soon.

Gyeryong Fairy Tale is based on a webtoon about a 699 year old fairy who lost her winged clothing that allows her to travel to heaven. She looks for for the reincarnation of her dead husband in hopes of finding the clothes while she works at a mountain cafe and meets a professor (Yoon Hyun Min). The drama comes from the PD of Madame Antoine and Could We Marry?

Gyeryong Fairy Tale is looking to air later in 2018 on tvN.

First time hearing about this drama. Sounds intetesting. I’m all about these supernatural dramas. Specially those centered around “old” characters. Id wanna check out the webtoon but would it even be available in english anywhere?

Same here! There are quite a few webtoons that do get translated into English, but I’m not really sure what the popular sites are for them or if this is one of them. I mostly hear about them whenever one is getting adapted into a drama and that frequently sends people off to check out the source material 🙂
