Lawless Lawyer Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi

I’m trying to contain my complete excitement with the release of the first trailer for the upcoming tvN drama Lawless Lawyer starring Lee Joon Gi (Criminal Minds) and Seo Ye Ji (Save Me).

Lee Joon Gi is back in action, quite literally, as he is ready to dole out justice as he sees fit. And Seo Ye Ji is right there in it as well as she takes on someone in the courtroom. There’s already chases, thugs, and fights too. The drama looks slick, and everyone looks great! I’m ready for this one!

Lawless Lawyer is a legal action thriller about a gangster (Lee Joon Gi) turned lawyer who doesn’t mind using his fists or doing whatever is necessary to bring justice as he works to avenge his mother. It comes from the writer of Remember: War of the Son and the PD of The Liar and His Lover and Time Between Dog and Wolf.

Lawless Lawyer is scheduled to premiere May 12 on tvN.

Somehow I just can’t seem to muster up interest in this one. I didn’t much care for Remember and dropped it early. All that crying! I rather wish LJK would do something else than full on action for a change. I’m kinda done with Korean action pieces as they now bore me almost as much as too much loveydovey. 😀

Ooh, I absolutely loved Remember! But I like crying and and angst (and even more so when Yoo Seung Ho is the one doing it hehe). So I’m hopeful for this one. And of course Lee Joon Gi is a must for me. I too would really love to see him in a romantic comedy or more traditional melodrama. But I never tire of him, so in the end, action and historicals are just fine 🙂

As you know, I’m not a fan of ott melodramatics and/or overblown angst. 😀 Come to think of it, not really a fan of YSH either, ha.

The thing with me is that I no longer watch dramas solely for the cast. A drama could be filled to the brim with actors/actresses I love but if it doesn’t grab me or ends up annoying the heck out of me, I won’t be watching. As simple as that. 🙂

That I do know 😉 Which would definitely explain why you didn’t care for Remember, lol

I actually don’t watch dramas solely for the cast most of the time either. I too usually have to be interested in the story. There are several dramas coming up with actors that I really like that I will be skipping mostly because of the genre. That being said, there are a handful of my favs who I will watch 99% of the time though. And Lee Joon Gi is on the top of that list. Although I have been fortunate and have loved most of his dramas, his acting alone gives me enough enjoyment to check out a show. Even then, I still haven’t finished Criminal Minds because it’s just terrible (his marvelous acting is definitely not on display to make up for the terribleness either). But since I’ve sat through 13 eps and my fav is in it, I do plan to finish it at some point. That’s an exception though, lol.

Ah, I used to have one too, an actor who’s works I’d watch, no matter what they were about. And I did watch most of his stuff, up to a point. Then came the drama that put stop to that foolishness, LOL! I barely made it to the end and decided “never again, not for anyone!” Been that way ever since. I may have my faves but I won’t put up with just anything for them either.
