Greasy Melo Korean Drama - Jang Hyuk, Junho, Jung Ryeo Won

Whew! Well, this amazing cast has been confirmed! Jang Hyuk (Money Flower), Junho (Just Between Lovers), and Jung Ryeo Won (Witch’s Court) will all be starring in the upcoming SBS drama Greasy Melo. It comes from the writer of Jealousy Incarnate and the PD of Suspicious Partner.

Greasy Melo is set in a neighborhood Chinese restaurant that is run by a gangster recently released from prison (Jang Hyuk). A star chef (Junho) ends up working at the run down restaurant, and a privileged chaebol heiress (Jung Ryeo Won) has a life changing experience after having a bowl of jajangmyun. The drama tells their stories of love and healing with a mixture of romance, action, and comedy.

My mind is still trying to wrap itself around all of this talent in one drama! I mean, that alone is enough to have me sold. And I’m all for stories of love, healing, and growth. I can’t wait to see what each of these talented actors brings to their characters. I know it will be good!

Greasy Melo is looking to air in May on SBS.

    Thank you loads Kay,
    This is just “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”…
Can’t wait to see this drama air. Apart from that weird and awkward title everything in this drama is just perfect!!!

Love your word choice! It perfectly expresses my excitement for this cast and drama 🙂 I guess a drama can’t be 100% perfect, so they had to give it a weird title, lol. Maybe it will be one that changes when it gets closer to air time. But regardless, I’m looking forward to it!

Oy, nice cast – me likey. 🙂 And the plot sounds a bit defferent from what’s been on offer recently. Sometimes it feels like there’s been an uneding stream of law/court room dramas and cop shows, with a dusting of melodrama here and there. *g*

Yes, the cast on this one is top notch! And I too appreciate the different theme. The trend of legal dramas this past year has been overwhelming. I’m really picky when it comes to that genre since it’s not a favorite. And Dramaland has just been filled with them lately! So anytime a melo, rom-com, or historical gets announced, I majorly perk up 🙂
