Jang Ki Yong Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama “Come Here and Hug Me”

Come Here and Hug Me Korean Drama - Jang Ki Yong

Jang Ki Yong (Go Back Couple) has now been offered a lead role in the new MBC drama Come Here and Hug Me (also called Come Hug Me). Offers had previously went out to Nam Joo Hyuk and Suzy, but both have declined. Jang Ki Yong would be taking on the role originally offered to Nam Joo Hyuk as our main lead. An offer is also out to Jin Ki Joo (Misty) as the leading lady.

I was disappointed to see Nam Joo Hyuk and Suzy turn down this drama, but I’m still optimistic to see who we get. I enjoyed Jang Ki Yong in Go Back Couple last year and would like to see him in the main lead role. So hopefully, he accepts!

Come Here and Hug Me follows the story of a man and woman whose lives were altered after a murder case in their past.

Come Here and Hug Me is looking to air in the spring on MBC.

Hey Kay,
Thanks for yet another update. Even I’m disappointed to know Name Joo Hyuk and Suzy declining the offer. ‘Cause I like both of them and their superb acting skills. But I’m kinda happy to know Jang Ki Yong taking the lead role. Since I recently finished the Go Back Couple Series last night. I felt a little heartbroken to see him getting rejected by Ma Jin Joo. Though his character didn’t have much expressive feelings to exhibit, still I loved his acting. For a moment thought that the drama could’ve given the viewers some more of their chemistry on-screen. But it did justice though rushed in the end. Glad to see how things wrapped up at a great and high note conveying meaningful messages to all viewers.
Fingers crossed 🤞 for Jang Ki Yong… Hope he accepts the offer and we get to see more of his skills.

  Yeah, I was very disappointed that Nam Joo Hyuk and Suzy turned this down. I think they would have made a great pair. But it will be good if Jang Ki Yong takes the role too. I know what you mean. It was sad seeing him get rejected in Go Back Couple. So it would certainly be nice for him to be in a drama and get the girl 🙂
