Kdrama Kisses

Woah! We have our first trailer released for the highly anticipated upcoming tvN drama Mr. Sunshine starring Lee Byung Hun (Iris) and Kim Tae Ri (The Handmaiden). As expected, it is visually stunning to look at, and you can already tell this is done on a large, high quality scale.

We see all of our stars against the backdrop of some gorgeous scenery and incredibly  intense battles. The music also really draws out the emotion and high stakes. The trailer is impressive and of cinematic quality for sure.

Of course, we all knew this drama would be a hit in the making from the moment it was announced, so the high caliber production was a given. But actually seeing what we have to look forward to just makes it all the more real. It’s definitely a drama I’m super excited about!

Mr. Sunshine comes from writer Kim Eun Sook of hits such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun. It is set during the early 1900’s and is about the romance of a soldier (Lee Byung Hun) of the righteous army and an aristocrat’s daughter (Kim Tae Ri).

It follows the story of the soldier who got on a U.S. military expedition as a child and grew up in America. As an adult, he then returns to Korea as a soldier during the final years of the Joseon era.

Mr. Sunshine is scheduled to premiere in July on tvN.
