Grand Prince Korean Drama - Yoon Shi Yoon

Yoon Shi Yoon (The Best Hit) is the latest to be offered a role in the new TV Chosun drama Grand Prince which follows the love-hate relationship between two princes and the woman they both love. The drama comes from the writer of Maids and the PD of Joseon Gunman.

Yoon Shi Yoon would play one of the princes, although not the main one. Offers are still out to Joo Sang Wook (Fantastic) as the power hungry Grand Prince and Jin Se Yeon (Flower in Prison) as the beautiful and passionate daughter of a government official.

I am officially torn on this! I’m very excited about this historical love triangle and all three of these potential cast members. I’m also very much wanting to see Yoon Shi Yoon in another role, especially a historical, but I don’t want him to be the second lead. At least this does sound like both men will play large roles though, so there’s that. I’m anxious to see who all signs on!

Grand Prince is looking to air in January 2018 on TV Chosun.

Recently saw him in The Best Hit and loved him in that. Woulda been nice to get him as the main lead in this too like you said. Oh well gotta make due with what you got I suppose.

  Yep, I’ll definitely tune into whatever project he accepts. He’s just too good to miss. So even if it’s a second lead, I’ll watch. There’s been several historical romance triangles recently where both guys had pretty much equal parts, so I would at least be hoping we get something similar to that 🙂

Hmm: this could be a pretty cool series. Rivalry stories involving love if done well can usually become pretty good. And the historical setting is of course a plus as well 😀

I’m definitely going to tune in for this drama. I agree with you though! I’d love to see Yoon Shi Yoon as the main prince. Sounds like they’ll have a good casting either way!

  Yes, this one is a must watch for me. I need another historical! While I would rather Yoon Shi Yoon be the lead, I would be pretty happy with this cast overall, so I’m hoping they sign on 🙂
