“While You Were Sleeping” and “Hospital Ship” Continue in Tight Race in Korean Drama Ratings

While You Were Sleeping Korean Drama - Lee Jong Suk and SuzyHospital Ship Korean Drama - Ha Ji Won Mad Dog Korean Drama - Yoo Ji Tae

While You Were Sleeping continues its slow and steady upward trajectory in Nielsen drama ratings during the Wednesday-Thursday time slot. It held the first place position for three out of four of its episodes this week.
Ep. 09 – 8.1%
Ep. 10 -9.4%
Ep. 11 – 8.9%
Ep. 12 – 9.7%

Hospital Ship remains right there with While You Were Sleeping. It was in second for most of its episodes, but it nudged ahead to take the top spot for episode 28.
Ep. 25 –     7.5%
Ep. 26 –    9.3%
Ep. 27 –    8.5%
Ep. 28 – 10.0%

We also had the premiere of the insurance crime drama Mad Dog starring Yoo Ji Tae and Woo Do Hwan. It landed in last place and fell for its second episode.
Ep. 1 – 5.5%
Ep. 2 -4.8%

It’s interesting to actually see two dramas going head to head in a tight ratings race for a change. It seems like most dramas these last couple cycles just sort of settled into their respective places well spaced out. This should continue to be a fun race to watch!

While You Were Sleeping airs Wednesday and Thursday on SBS.

Hospital Ship airs Wednesday and Thursday on MBC.

Mad Dog airs Wednesday and Thursday on KBS.
