Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Kang Hee Confirmed to Return for Season 2 of Mystery Queen

Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Kang He have been confirmed to be returning for season 2 of the KBS drama Mystery Queen. This is definitely great news for fans to have the main duo back. There are a few changes though.

Supporting cast members Lee Won Geun and Shin Hyun Bin will apparently not be returning. No announcements have been made yet as to whether they will be recast or their characters won’t be present.

The original PD, Kim Jin Woo, also won’t be returning as he has already signed on to direct the Korean drama remake of Suits. In his place, Choi Yoon Seuk who co-directed Chief Kim will take over.

Mystery Queen was about a married woman (Choi Kang Hee) who loves mystery novels and dreams of becoming a cop that ends up working with a detective (Kwon Sang Woo) to solve cases.

Mystery Queen is looking to air in early 2018 on KBS.

I haven’t seen the first season but it’s on my plan list. Guess what! This news has raised its number in the priority list!
