‘Hospital Ship’ Premieres in First in Korean Drama Ratings

Hospital Ship Korean Drama - Ha Ji WonReunited Worlds Korean Drama - Yeo Jin Goo Manhole Korean Drama - Jaejoong, UEE, Jung Hye Sung, Baro

We saw the premiere of medical drama Hospital Ship starring Ha Ji Won and Kang Min Hyuk this week. It came out strong in Nielsen drama ratings easily landing itself in first in the Wednesday-Thursday time slot.
Ep. 1 – 10.6%
Ep. 2 – 12.4%
Ep. 3 –  8.9%
Ep. 4 – 10.7%

Reunited Worlds saw a slight dip but continues to hold steady.
Ep. 25 – 5.4%
Ep. 26 – 6.8%
Ep. 27 – 6.3%
Ep. 28 – 6.5%

Manhole continued to scrape the bottom of the ratings barrel in last place.
Ep. 5 – 2.0%
Ep. 6 – 1.4%

I’m still in complete disbelief over Manhole’s ratings. I seriously don’t recall ever seeing a big 3 prime time drama with numbers so low. I just feel bad for the actors and production team. I’m also more worried it could get cut at any moment. Dramas with much higher ratings than that certainly have been 😦

Reunited Worlds airs Wednesday and Thursday on SBS.

Hospital Ship airs Wednesday and Thursday on MBC.

Manhole airs Wednesday and Thursday on KBS.

Really feel bad for the cast and crew…knowing how much energy, time, money is spent in making a drama. Not to mention the dedication.
