Live Korean Drama - Lee Kwang Soo and Jung Yu MI

Lee Kwang Soo (Entourage) and Jung Yu Mi (Discovery of Romance) have been offered lead roles in the new drama Live. Live tells the stories of police officers and follows their relationships and struggles. Lee Kwang Soo and Jung Yu Mi would both be playing police officers.

It comes from the writer of popular dramas such as Dear My Friends, It’s Okay That’s Love, That Winter the Wind Blows, and Padam Padam. The writer will also be reunited with the PD of all of the above dramas for this one.

It sounds like it will be more of a heartfelt character drama rather than a crime or thriller sort of drama. Especially looking at this writer’s previous works, that’s what I would expect. Lots of emotion, complex characters, and hitting on difficult issues. Count me in!

Live is looking to air in 2018.

The police angle could be interesting, but as you say I think the focus will be more on the relationships as well. You never know though, it might still turn out into something quite different in the end. I usually like cop shows, even the daily work might not be featured heavily in this drama. Have to see a trailer first to judge how this will turn out 😊

Yeah, I’m interested to see exactly how it turns out. Leaning towards more of a heartfelt melodrama. But I especially hope Lee Kwang Soo signs on 🙂

Not really a fan of any of the leads…I might end up not watching it

I’m a big fan of Lee Kwang Soo 🙂 I’ve only seen Jung Yu Mi in Train to Busan though. I liked her, but it wasn’t much to go off of.
