Kdrama Kisses

It looks like we have our main leads for the new MBC drama Hospital Ship! Kang Min Hyuk (Entertainer) and Ha Ji Won (The Time I’ve Loved You) will be starring in this drama about doctors on a medical ship that travels to rural villages on islands.

Kang Min Hyuk will play a warmhearted doctor on our medical ship with Ha Ji Won as a surgeon who joins the ship after experiencing difficult family circumstances. The drama comes from the writer of Secret Door and the PD of New Leaf.

An offer had recently went out to Choi Jin Hyuk, but he ultimately turned the role down. I must say that the change in direction for the character surprised me as Kang Min Hyuk is quite a bit younger and has a different vibe. But he does fit the character description concerning the warmhearted part. I really like Kang Min Hyuk, and he plays those sweet and lovable characters perfectly.

Ha Ji Won has long been associated with the project, but it’s good to finally get a confirmation. And I’ll definitely be looking forward to a little noona romance between her and Kang Min Hyuk!

Hospital Ship is scheduled to air in August on MBC.
