Reunited Worlds Korean Drama - Yeo Jin Goo and Lee Yeon Hee

It looks like Yeo Jin Goo (Circle) and Lee Yeon Hee (Hwajeong) have been offered lead roles in the new SBS drama Reunited Worlds. Reunited Worlds is about childhood friends that were born in the same year, but they have mysteriously aged differently with the woman being 31 and the man being 18.

Well, that’s an interesting premise! This is actually a drama that I have been highly interested in since it was first announced because it comes from the writer of some of my favorite dramas such as Girl Who Sees Smells and Beautiful Gong Shim.

I love how this writer mixes comedy and melodrama with very heartfelt characters. Another big plus is that the same PD is even on board. So that was enough to get me excited, but if Yeo Jin Goo signs on, well that’s just icing on the cake!

This would certainly keep him busy though as he would pretty much be going right from his current drama Circle to Reunited Worlds. I will definitely be anxiously awaiting news of casting developments!

Reunited Worlds is scheduled to premiere in July on SBS.

It seems like the scifi angle is catching up on Korean dramaseries. Even though technically this ofcourse isn’t sci-fi, it does have a little bit of a ring to it 😊I agree with you the premise for this one sounds very original, though I am guessing this might end up in comedy territory, but we just have to wait and see I guess 😀

Yeah, I’d probably consider this more subtle fantasy, but the sci-fi angle is definitely present this summer with several dramas in the genre. I’m a huge fan of this writer, so I think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect with it: an interesting story with a bit of mystery, quirky characters with more comedy in the first half, then things will get much more dramatic in the second half as everything comes to a head. That’s pretty much how all of the dramas I’ve seen by this writer went. She does some of my favorite mixing of comedy and melodrama 🙂

Okay, sounds cool. If it turns out to be progressing down that road, I will definitely check it out (if I am allowed to see it again in my country lol 😂).

Haha, it needs to be shown in your country! But yes, I’m hopeful for it and can’t wait to get some casting confirmations 🙂
