Seven Day Queen Korean Drama - Yeon Woo Jin

The sadness returns in the new trailer for the upcoming KBS sageuk drama Seven Day Queen starring Yeon Woo Jin (Introverted Boss), Park Min Young (Remember: War of the Son), and Lee Dong Gun (Laurel Tree Tailors). It starts out depicting the innocent love of our king and queen during their younger years.

But fate is against them, and tragedy and tears await them in the present as they deal with their ill-fated love. This drama looks like it’s going to be quite sad and dramatic, but I’m really looking forward to this tragic love story.

Seven Day Queen is a political romance about the love story between King Jungjong (Yeon Woo Jin) and the daughter (Park Min Young) of a powerful politician who became queen for just one week before being dethroned because of her fathers attempted political coup. She gets caught in a love triangle with him and his half brother King Yeonsangung (Lee Dong Gun).

Seven Day Queen is scheduled to premiere May 31 on KBS.

Yeah, this is definitely not going to be a very happy series. Still, I can take the occasional sad drama as well, so I am keeping this one on my list. Having finally finished Goblin (I know right 😉) I am on the lookout what to watch next, but I will probably watch my first historic drama now. Still haven’t decided which one yet but that’s part of the fun. As for this one, it definitely does not look bad 😀

I definitely don’t mind sad dramas especially of the epic and tragic kind. And this looks like a sweeping ill fated romance that will pack a punch 🙂

I’m excited to see what drama you choose next. It’s always fun deciding (and sometimes painful looking at the long list, hehe). Let me know what you choose 🙂

I have chosen two actually. The first one is Pinocchio ( a recommendation from a blogging friend of mine, who will also start to watch this one. And the second one is Faith (or the good doctor as it is also known). Hopefully these will both be entertaining 😊

Oooh, I love Pinocchio! One of my top 10 favorite dramas 🙂 It’s just a great drama all around. Hope it’s a good one for you.

And hopefully, you enjoy Faith. I have an interesting relationship with that drama. Faith was the first kdrama that I ever laid eyes on, but I didn’t finish it. I watched the first couple episodes and didn’t love it, but was quite intrigued. Intrigued enough that I started looking up what the deal with kdramas were. I quickly found another one that interested me, binge watched it over a weekend, and emerged a new person, lol. I have tried to watch Faith a couple more times and have watched 6 eps, but still can’t quite get into it. I do intend to finish it one day though just because it was technically my first 🙂

The first episode of Pinocchio was great…I already love it. Don’t know if it will maintain this high level of quality, but for now I absolutely love this one. As for Faith….well…the first episode did not yet give me quite that same level of excitement. But it is interesting to know that this is your first ever K-drama you watched. Thinking back I think for me that was the Innocent man, which luckily was quite good 😀 Hopefully Faith will turn out better, but Pinocchio is awesome so far 😀

Well, in my opinion, it stays really good 🙂 Hope you keep liking it. But yeah, there was just something lacking in Faith for me. I’m grateful that it sparked my interest in kdramas though. It’s funny that Faith seems like a way better drama than the one I ended up loving and completing first, which was the classic Full House, but I guess you just never know what will click, and Full House just checked the right boxes for me 🙂
