Age of Youth Korean Drama - Han Ye Ri, Park Eun Bin, Ryu Hwa Young, Han Seung Yeon, Park Hye Bin

The original cast has finally been confirmed to be returning for season 2 of last years popular drama Age of Youth. Han Ye Ri, Han Seung Yeon, Park Eun Bin, and Park Hye Soo will star in the series while Ryu Hwa Young will make a guest appearance.

Also, a new addition to the series is Kim Min Suk (Defendant) who will be the love interest of a new girl introduced into the friend group. So it looks like things are well underway for this drama!

Age of Youth was a coming of age story that focused on the friendships and relationships of five college girls who lived together.

Age of Youth 2 is looking to air in the second half of 2017 on JTBC.

I haven’t seen the first one but I’ve heard good things about it. It’s always interesting to see a drama get another season, I’m not too used to it. haha

I haven’t seen the first season either, but it is on my list after hearing so many good things. It is pretty unusual for a drama to get a second season. Even more unusual for it to be a true second season with the original cast rather than a spinoff. I don’t think most dramas would do well with second seasons, but this drama sounds like a good fit for a continuation story 🙂

I think the only show I’ve seen with multiple seasons was I Need A Romance. From what I remember that used different casts though.

Hmm, yeah, I can’t think of any I’ve seen with second seasons off the top of my head. I do plan to watch the second season of Bad Guys as well as the Chinese drama Wu Xin: The Monster Killer. So at least I will have some to add to the list soon 🙂

Woah I didnt know Bad Guys was getting a second season. I started watching it not too long ago because of Ma Dong-Seok. 😀 He was my fave thing from Train to Busan.

Ma Dong Suk was why I was excited to watch Bad Guys too! He’s just awesome 🙂 But yep, season 2 for Bad Guys. Sadly, the original cast won’t be back. I’m working on a post about it. There’s currently offers out to Kang Ha Neul and Park Sung Woong. I like both of them, so I hope they accept 🙂

Cool, I’ll keep an eye out for your post.

I don’t see many Korean dramas that get a second season. Most of them usually have one season (which is a plus, as so many series these days get cancelled without a proper ending to it). I have never heard of this one, but reading what it is about, I don’t think this will be my cup of tea. Although I usually am open for pretty much anything 😊

Yep, it’s pretty rare. And even more rare to get the original cast back. I’m like you though in that I actually prefer the one season format to avoid those pesky cancellations. But since this one is very slice of life just following the lives of students, a second season will probably work well for it. I still need to check it out though.

I loved it. Glad to see it’s getting a second season
