Director’s Re-Edited Cut of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo Now Available on DramaFever

Scarlet Heart Goryeo Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi

As many fans are aware, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo was a completely pre-produced drama and work on the project was completed months before it aired. But after Moon Lovers began airing in Korea, complaints about the editing of the drama soon prompted re-edits of the episodes that were then released in Korea.

But many international fans were left disappointed because the version being aired in their countries was the one with the original edits. This caused concern when fans became aware of missing scenes in their version that were being included in the one being aired in Korea.

Although it has taken a a little time, luckily, the streaming channel DramaFever has finally acquired the rights to the re-edited version of Moon Lovers! Keep in mind, the drama is mostly the same, but it includes a few extra scenes scattered throughout as well as a bit of re-editing. But I do think this is good news for fans of the drama.

This makes me happy because most of the additional scenes are Wang So (Lee Joon Gi) scenes.

Yes, I’m really glad they were able to get the rights to this. I thought a couple of those missing scenes were very important and shouldn’t be missed 🙂
